Today, I listened to the podcast "Two Scary Artworks". They talked about some arts and the power of picture, pictures has many information. This video introduce about some arts, such as "The Scream", "Takiyasha The Witch And The Skeleton Spectre". Most of art are painted at 19 century, and in that period, the medical care is not developed, many people are died from tuberculosis, pneumonia. Thanks the discover of antibiotics, today, both disease have effective treatment. In the video, there introduce a proverb "A picture is worth a thousand words." I totally agree with this proverb, picture have many information, but not the all cases. For example, probably you couldn't understand the abstract painting with no any explanation.
